We at Maison Melbourne take pride in offering high-quality products. Please read the following return policy carefully, as we have stringent guidelines in place to ensure the quality and authenticity of our merchandise. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:
The item must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in original condition. Any signs of wear or alteration (e.g., perfumes, makeup stains, damage, etc.) will result in the return being refused.
The item must be returned with all original tags, packaging, and accessories intact. Items returned without the original packaging or accessories will not be accepted.
Returns must be initiated and shipped back within 10 days of the delivery date. Returns initiated after this window will be automatically rejected.
You must submit a clear, high-resolution picture of the item upon receipt showing the packaging and condition of the item before any return authorization is issued. Returns without photographic evidence will not be considered.
The item must be shipped back using a trackable shipping service. We will accept your return without tracking or delayed shipments.
Non-Returnable Items: We do not accept returns on the following:
- Items marked as Final Sale, Limited Edition, or Custom Orders.
- Gift Cards.
- Accessories (e.g., jewelry, hats, scarves).
- Intimate Items (e.g., swimwear, undergarments) for hygiene reasons.
Proof of Delivery: You must retain proof of shipping with a valid tracking number to show that the item was shipped within the required timeframe. Maison Melbourne will not be responsible for returns lost or delayed in transit.
2. Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
Email our customer service team at [your email address] with your order number, reason for return, and required photo(s) of the item in its received condition. This must be done within the 10-day return window.
Upon approval, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA number will not be processed.
Pack the item securely, ensuring all tags, packaging, and accessories are included.
Ship the item back at your expense to the address provided in the return instructions. We do not provide prepaid return labels, and you are responsible for all return shipping costs, including any duties or taxes incurred.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:
- Sale, clearance, or discounted items.
- Items marked as Final Sale.
- Custom, personalized, or special-order items.
- Gift cards.
4. Condition for Return Denial
We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet the following conditions:
- Any item showing signs of wear, use, alteration, or damage.
- Items not returned in their original packaging, missing accessories, or missing tags.
- Items that smell of perfume, smoke, or have visible signs of damage (including, but not limited to, stains, rips, or alterations).
- Items returned after the 10-day window.
If your return is rejected due to non-compliance, we will not issue a refund, and you will be responsible for any costs to have the item shipped back to you if requested.
5. Refunds & Processing Time
Refunds will be processed only if the return is accepted after our inspection. Please allow up to 15 business days from the receipt of your return for processing.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, minus any shipping charges, taxes, duties, or restocking fees (if applicable).
If the item is damaged, incomplete, or shows signs of use, the refund will be denied, and the item will be returned to you at your expense.
6. Exchange Policy
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, you must follow the return process, and after receiving your refund, place a new order.
7. Shipping Costs
All return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. We do not cover return shipping fees or provide prepaid return labels. Additionally:
Original shipping fees are non-refundable, even if the item was shipped with free shipping.
If an item is returned due to undeliverable or incorrect address information provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for any reshipment costs.
8. Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt with detailed pictures showing the damage or defect. If approved, we will provide instructions for returning the item at our expense. Items damaged through customer use or improper care will not be considered defective.
9. Responsibility for Lost or Damaged Returns
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. Maison Melbourne is not responsible for returns lost in transit or damaged during return shipping.
